This Week x2 - Cards, Cards, Cards & Pom Poms

Yet another two weeks have skipped by, I was off in Norfolk last week, and seems as my parents aren't online, I went completely dark for a good three/four days, which was actually quite nice, but I am now running behind on pretty much everything! So...
Last week... I painted a wee card for my friend's little boy, Fubby and I went to see our parents in Suffolk and Norfolk. My niece and nephew (and my sister) were also at my parents, and asked Fubby to teach them how to play cards. He showed them how to play Black 2, so we played that, and then we played it again, and again, and again and... then we visited Hunstanton so the kids could play and eat ice creams... then there was some more Black 2...

This week... We left my parents with the back of the car filled with conifer trunks. We took them to Fubby's parents, where he and his dad, cut them into little chunks and cut little slots in them, for place card holders. I also prepared for the baby shower by making tissue paper pom poms, and the tissue paper broke my scissors! I also made Rocky Road - hopefully it will make it to the baby shower! :)

Something Fishy & Stripy Boos

It has been so busy around here for the last few weeks, that I haven't had much time to sit down at the computer and update the Doodle Olympics. It looks set to stay that way for the next couple of weeks too, but hopefully, after that, I will be able to update a little more often. Thanks for sticking with me! :)

Day 81 of the Doodle Olympics - A random doodle.

Day 82 of the Doodle Olympics - Do you ever get a word stuck in you head, it just repeats itself over and over? Mine was the the word "Boo".

Day 83 of the Doodle Olympics - There was nothing really imaginative going on in my mind today, all I could come up with was an eye, and not a very good one either, oh well I will do better next time :)

Day 84 of the Doodle Olympics - Easter is coming don't you know, so I decorated and egg!

Day 85 of the Doodle Olympics - a cat amongst some florals!

Day 86 of the Doodle Olympics - Little fragmented fishes.

Day 87 of the Doodle Olympics - A quick little sketch of what we are planning for the tables at our wedding.

This Week x2...Pretty, Pretty, Pretty

I was off having fun in the Cotswolds at the end of last week/start of this week, so never had chance to post, so the post this week, is a bumper 2 week edition.
So this week (and last) we discovered a pretty bottle of wine from M&S, with a pretty label, and a fruity flavour.
Rob's late birthday presents arrived - he had to wait for them to be published.
More pretty fabric arrived, for me to make flowers from.
Some paper samples arrived - we are beginning to think about our pretty invites.
A book full of pretty cakes arrived, for me to review.
A pretty parcel was sent to a pretty, new baby girl.
We visited pretty Tetbury, where we bought pretty cakes.
Groomie got pretty nervous, and man hugs were needed.
There were pretty sparkly brooches placed in pretty hair.
There were pretty dresses, and pretty ladies being put into dresses,
and of course there were pretty bouquets, and the Bride's mum gave us pretty flowers to take home.

I shall be updating on my daily doodle challenge too - that is going to require a few posts!! :)

This Week... Cinnamon Toast & Chicken Nuggets

This week... next door's cat didn't care is if it wasn't a box, it was still cardboard...I received another book to review... Was left alone while my other half was off on a stag, so I spoilt myself with cinnamon french toast and hot chocolate... I made the yummiest oven baked chicken nuggets, thanks to a Skinnytaste recipe found via Pinterest... I made a start on some paper flowers for my future bouquet... and some organza ones... Also had a go at making tissue paper pompoms, in preparation for my friend's baby shower.
